Online seminar “Sales” – in cooperation with FAU
Highly innovative, enormously motivated, permanently ready for action: these are three substantial characteristics of start-up companies. In addition, there is usually a wealth of know-how regarding the core contents of one’s own business. Why many promising start-ups nevertheless fail to get their ideas onto the ramp and from there towards customers can be summed up in one word: Sales.
To remedy this situation, we have conducted two online workshops for participants from the start-up environment in cooperation with the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). The relevance of the topic could be seen in the (growing) number of participants. While twenty students were connected at the first September date, almost seventy participants were online at the second workshop.
The focus of the first two events was on telephone acquisition and CRM organization. The central question here is: How do I initiate a conversation “cold or warm”, at the end of which I was able to interest my interlocutor in the product or at least learn why it might not interest him. The online workshop focused on conducting and analyzing real sales conversations, i.e. in direct exchange with potential customers.
Conclusion: The enthusiasm was unanimous: Actually learned something “for life”!
