Order situation

High overall workload – few editorial staff available internally: The proposal to automate the production of the in-house employee magazine “airmail” conceptually and, above all, graphically and met with an extremely positive response from our customer. The internal correspondence and coordination time alone promised enormous time savings, and there were also cost benefits from saving on external graphics work.

Project order

  • Existing documents, existing design specifications as well as the last valid Adobe design were analyzed and transformedinto a transformed
  • Recognized graphic patterns and the fixed components of the corporate design as well as certain specifications for the subsequent translation of the content into four languages were incorporated into the programming
  • The magazine mask was programmed, xml-prepared data can flow into the Adobe design fully automatically since then.
  • Internal processes have been redefined or significantly shortened

Result

The high expectations in terms of saving internal and external resources were confirmed. Coordination and processes have been streamlined throughout. The end product was also consistently convincing. Only a few adjustments or final corrections were necessary before the print run was ready.
