Order situation

The new ubisound brand of the manufacturer people components had to be placed in the market in the corresponding associated business strategy. The aim of the manufacturing company was not only to serve the B2B business as before, but to bring ubisound radios directly to the customer via wholesalers or online platforms such as Amazon. As a prerequisite for success, it was necessary to install “ubisound” as a product brand in order to create better accessibility to the B2C market.

Project order

  • Establish basics of branding and development during a workshop: Determine and target audience, sharpen USP of device, devise strategies.
  • Generation of the product name, accompaniment of the product with the appropriate marketing tools (including brochure and advertisements for dealers and end customers)
  • Packaging design
  • Set up a campaign with the central microsite for the product, digital product info to increase online visibility, contact building to “opinion leaders

Result

The target for the first year was set at selling a certain number of units. This goal, supported by the above measures, was clearly achieved!

The customer

With the “Ubisound” brand, people components, a manufacturer of electronic devices based in Weissenhohe, Bavaria, has launched its first own brand on the electronics market: a compact DAB+ radio that can be set up for reception anywhere by means of a simple connection to a power socket.
